This easy Jamaican Gungo Peas Soup is so delicious and hearty, perfect for the colder months.
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 can Grace Gungo Peas (Buy Now)
- 2 cups Grace Coconut milk (Buy Now)
- 1 sachet Maggi Season-up All Purpose Powered Seasoning (Buy Now)
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1 onion diced
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 scotch bonnet minced
- 2 stalk scallion sliced
- Salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
- Heat oil in a medium sized pot
- Sauté onions garlic scallion and Grace Gungo Peas
- Add Coconut Milk and let simmer until peas soften
- Remove from heat and blend on high until smooth
- Place back on heat and let simmer
- Add scotch bonnet pepper, salt, and All Purpose Seasoning
- Let simmer an additional 10 minutes
- Add water if too thick and serve immediately
